High life, low life.(Chapter 3)

Mrs. Whittaker asked Nat to find a lawyer for her in order to do with her will. Nat and Stella thought that there were some strange things about Mrs. Whittaker. However, Nat and Stella’s job was finding a good lawyer that Mrs. Whittaker can trust as soon as possible. They called Wilma to go to the apartment with them. In the house, Martha seemed unhappy about their coming. After Mrs. Whittaker and Wilma had a long talk, Wilma told Nat that Mrs. Whittaker decided to give him everything because he reminded her of her late husband. Nat didn’t want to be in the middle of a family war, but Wilma had to follow the client’s instructions. Before they left the apartment, Mrs. Whittaker gave both Wilma and Nat a big envelope. Nat told Wilma to get the family talking and get Mrs. Whittaker change her will.

Compulsory cooking classes

I think that students should learn how to cook in the school. It is an important thing in our daily lives. Although we can see many fast-food restaurants on the streets, eating the food which is made by ourselves are much safer.

Last year, I went to the UK, I joined the cooking classes. The students not only learned to make delicious food, but also learned to solve problems by themselves. The teacher only gave them the recipe, and they had to find the tools they needed. They could ask the teacher, but teacher just told them, not ”taught” them. When they get older, they have to make their own recipe. One day, the teacher will ask them t0 creat their own recipe. I think this class can let students learn and have fun. And the food you make by yourself will taste better than the food outside.

My Chinese name is “Chen-Yuh”. In Chinese, “Yuh” means shiny.I think my mom and dad gave me this name because they wanted me to be a shining star in the future. Some people may think that my name sounds like that of a boy.Yes, I am boyish.

There are four people in my family, including my mom, my dad, my sister and I. My mom works for the government. She works from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. . After work, she has to go home immediately in order to cook dinner for the family. She cares about my health so I seldom eat outside. She is such a wonderful mother, isn’t she?My dad is a professional worker of insurance. He has to visit his client when he has free time. I think he is always busy, but he would attend my school activities every  time. My sister is in college, so she seldom at home. She wants to be a sailor in the future, so that she can travel around the world.

In my childhood, my dad always took us to go camping, mountion climbing, and so on. He taught me to be an indenpendent person and always let me make my own decision. I learned to play the piano, dance, play the Chinese yo-yo and play the trumpet. Therefore, I had so many good memory. 

I am a active and energetic person. I like to make new friends, so I join clubs and take part in a wide variety of activities.When I entered senior high school, I decided to have a brilliant school life. And now, I believe I have done a great job.”Do your best, and don’t live in vain.”, I always tell myself. 

Last year, I went to the UK for a student exchange program. That was the first time I went abroad by myself. In the Bethany School, I joined the classes with the students and helped the students with their performance. I also visited Brighton, Canterbury Cathedral, Leeds Castle, London Bridge, and so on. These ten days in the UK were the most unforgettable memory in my life.
